John Platten is CEO and Principal Consultant of Vivamex Limited a data quality, data migration, data warehousing and data management consultancy.

John has worked in IT for over 20 years and began building data warehouses around 1995 when the concept was relatively new. In a different field, he is also the author of the computerised offender portrait system E-FIT often seen on BBC Crimewatch.

His clients have included T-Mobile, GlaxoSmithkline, BP, and Shell where he has led data quality, data warehouse and ERP migrations into SAP projects.
